Chapter Name: Surah Inshiqaq.
Juz Number: 30
Chapter Verses: 36

| *** |
.بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Mercifrul.
| *** |
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتۡۙ ﴿۱
1. Izas-samaaa’un-shaqqat.
1. When the Sky is rent asunder,
| *** |
وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡۙ ﴿۲
2. Wa azinat li-Rabbihaa wa Huqqat.
2. And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);
| *** |
وَاِذَا الۡاَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡؕ ﴿۳
3. Wa izal-ardu muddat.
3. And when the Earth is flattened out,
| *** |
وَاَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيۡهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡۙ ﴿۴
4. Wa al gat maa feehaa wa takhallat.
4.And casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty,
| *** |
وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡؕ ﴿۵
5. Wa azinat li-Rabbihaa wa Huqqat.
5. And hearkens to (the C Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so); (then will come home the full Reality).
| *** |
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدۡحًا فَمُلٰقِيۡهِۚ ﴿۶
6. Yaaa ayyuhal-insaanu innaka kaadihun ilaa Rabbika kad-han famulaaqeeh.
6. O thou man I verily thou art ever toiling on towards thy Lord painfully toiling,-but thou shalt meet Him.
| *** |
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيۡنِهٖۙ ﴿۷
7. Fa-ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo biyameenih.
7. Then he who is given his Record in his right hand,
| *** |
فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيۡرًاۙ ﴿۸
8. Fasawfa yuḥaasabu hisaabay-yaseeraa.
8. Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning,
| *** |
وَّيَنۡقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ ﴿۹
9. Wa yanqalibu ilaaa ahli hee masrooraa.
9. And he will turn to his people, rejoicing !
| *** |
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهٖۙ ﴿۱۰
10. Wa ammaa man ootiya kitaabahoo waraaa’a zahrih. Fasawfa yad’oo subooraa.
10. But he who is given his Record behind his back,
| *** |
فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُوۡا ثُبُوۡرًاۙ ﴿۱۱
11. Fasawfa yad’oo subooraa.
11. Soon will he cry for Perdition,
| *** |
وَّيَصۡلٰى سَعِيۡرًاؕ ﴿۱۲
12. Wa yaşlaa sa’eeraa.
12. And he will enter a Blazing Fire.
| *** |
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًاؕ ﴿۱۳
13. Innahoo kaana feee ahli hee masrooraa.
13. Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing !
| *** |
اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنۡ لَّنۡ يَّحُوۡرَ ۛۚ ﴿۱۴
14. Innahoo zanna al-lany yahoor.
14. Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us) !
| *** |
بَلٰٓى ۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيۡرًاؕ ﴿۱۵
15. Balaaa inna Rabbahoo kaana bihee baseeraa.
15. Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him !
| *** |
فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ ﴿۱۶
16. Falaaa uqsimu bishsha faq.
16. So I do call to witness the ruddy glow of Sunset;
| *** |
وَالَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ ﴿۱۷
17. Wallayli wa maa wasaq.
17. The Night and its Homing;
| *** |
وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ ﴿۱۸
18. Walqamari izat-tasaq.
18. And the Moon in her Fulness:
| *** |
لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنۡ طَبَقٍؕ ﴿۱۹
19. Latarkabunna ṭabaqan *an-tabaq.
19. Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.
| *** |
فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَۙ ﴿۲۰
20. Famaa lahum laa yu’mi noon.
20. What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?
| *** |
وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ لَا يَسۡجُدُوۡنَ ۩ؕ﴿۲۱
21. Wa izaa quri’a ‘alayhimul Qur-aanu laa yasjudoon.
21. And when the Qur’an is read to them, they fall not prostrate,
| *** |
بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ﴿۲۲
22. Balil-lazeena kafaroo yukazziboon.
22. But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).
| *** |
وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوۡعُوۡنَ ﴿۲۳
23. Wallaahu a’lamu bimaa yoo’oon.
23. But Allah has full Knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts).
| *** |
فَبَشِّرۡهُمۡ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍۙ ﴿۲۴
24. Fabashshirhum bi’azaa bin aleem.
24. So announce to them a Chastisement Grievous,
| *** |
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ﴿۲۵
25. Illal-lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amiluş-şaaliḥaati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoon.
25. Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: for them is a Reward that will never fail.
