| *** |
.بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
In the name of Allah, Most Grarious, Most Merciful.
| *** |
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتۡۙ ﴿۱
1. Izas-samaaa’un-fatarat.
1. When the Sky is cleft asunder;
| *** |
وَاِذَا الۡكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتۡۙ ﴿۲
2. Wa izal-kawaakibun-ta sarat.
2. When the Stars are scattered;
| *** |
وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡۙ ﴿۳
3. Wa izal-bihaaru fujjirat.
3. When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;
| *** |
وَاِذَا الۡقُبُوۡرُ بُعۡثِرَتۡۙ ﴿۴
4. Wa izal-qubooru bu’sirat.
4. And when the Graves are turned upside down;
| *** |
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَاَخَّرَتۡؕ ﴿۵
5. Alimat nafsum-maa qaddamat wa akhkharat.
5. (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back.
| *** |
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الۡكَرِيۡمِۙ ﴿۶
6. Yaaa ayyuhal-insaaanu maa gharraka bi-Rabbikal Kareem.
6. O man! what has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?
| *** |
الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰٮكَ فَعَدَلَـكَۙ ﴿۷
7. Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa’adalak.
7. Him Who created thee, fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias;
| *** |
فِىۡۤ اَىِّ صُوۡرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَؕ ﴿۸
8. Feee ayye şooratim-maa shaaa’a rakkabak.
8. In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.
| *** |
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِالدِّيۡنِۙ ﴿۹
9. Kalla bal tukazziboona bid-deen.
9. Nay! but ye do reject The Judgment !
| *** |
وَاِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحٰـفِظِيۡنَۙ ﴿۱۰
10. Wa Inna ‘alaykum lahaa fizeen.
10. But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,
| *** |
كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيۡنَۙ ﴿۱۱
11. Kiraaman kaatibeen.
11. Kind and honourable, writing down (your deeds):
| *** |
يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۲
12. Ya’lamoona ma taf’aloon..
12. They know all that ye do.
| *** |
اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِىۡ نَعِيۡمٍۙ ﴿۱۳
13. Innal-abraara lafee Na’eem.
13. As for the Righteous, they will be in Bliss;
| *** |
وَّاِنَّ الۡفُجَّارَ لَفِىۡ جَحِيۡمٍۙ ﴿۱۴
14. Wa innal-fujjaara lafee Jaheem.
14. And the Wicked-they will be in the Fire,
| *** |
يَّصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ ﴿۱۵
15. Yaşlawnahaa Yawmad Deen
15. Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment,
| *** |
وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآٮِٕبِيۡنَؕ ﴿۱۶
16. Wa maa hum ‘anhaa bighaaa’ibeen.
16. And they will not be able to keep away therefrom.
| *** |
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِۙ ﴿۱۷
17. Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud-Deen,
17. And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?
| *** |
ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِؕ ﴿۱۸
18, Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud-Deen.
18. Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is?
| *** |
يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٌ لِّنَفۡسٍ شَيۡـًٔـاؕ وَّالۡاَمۡرُ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لِّلَّهِ ﴿۱۹
19. Yawma laa tamliku nafsul-linafsin shay’añw wal amru Yawma’izil-lillaah.
19. (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: for the Command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah.
