Sürat al-Bayyinah 98 (Revealed at Madinah)
سورة البينة,
Al-Baiyina, or The Clear Evidence
| *** |
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
| *** |
1.Lam yakunil-lazeena kafaroo min Ahlil-Kitaabi wal mushrikeena munfakkeena hattaa taatiyahumul-bayyinah.
لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ
1. Those who disbelieve, among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them clear Evidence,
| *** |
2. Rasoolum-minal-laahi yatloo ṣuḥufam-muṭahharah.
رَسُولٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفًۭا مُّطَهَّرَةًۭ
2. Messenger from Allah, rehe arsing scriptures kept pure and holy:

3. mah. Feehaa kutubun qayyi
فِيهَا كُتُبٌۭ قَيِّمَةٌۭ
3. Wherein are books right and straight.
| *** |
4. Wa maa tafarraqal-lazee na ootul-Kitaaba illaa mim ba’di maa jaaa’at-humul-bayyinah.
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ
4. Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence.

5. Wa maaa umirooo illaa liya’budul-laaha mukhlişeena lahud-deena hunafaaa’a wa yuqeemuş-Şalaata wa yu’tuz Zakaata wa zaalika deenul qayyimah.
وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ
5. And they have been commanded no more than this: to worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being True (in faith); to establish regular Prayer; and to give zakat; and that is the Religion right and Straight.

6. Innal-lazeena kafaroo min Ahlil-Kitaabi wal-mushri keena fee Naari Jahannama khaalideena feehaa; ulaaa’ika hum sharrul-bariyyah.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ
6. Those who disbelieve, among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.

7. Innal-lazeena aamanoo wa ‘amiluş-şaaliḥaati ulaaa’ika hum-khayrul-bariyyah
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ
7. Those who have faith and do righteous deeds, they are the best of creatures.
| *** |
8. Jazaaa’uhum ‘inda Rabbihim Jannaatu ‘Adnin tajree min taḥtihal-anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; radiyal-laahu ‘anhum wa radoo *anh; zaalika liman khashiya Rabbah.
جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتُ عَدْنٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۖ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهُۥ
8. Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.
